On your phone. On iOS, with iCloud sync enabled, your data also lives in your personal iCloud account so it syncs to your other Apple devices. On Android, Google's Auto Backup handles the same role through your Google Drive. Nothing is ever sent to LastDrive's servers — there are no LastDrive servers.

On iOS, yes — enable iCloud sync and any iPhone or iPad signed into the same iCloud account will share the garage. On Android, Auto Backup restores your data when you reinstall the app on a new device signed into the same Google account, but it doesn't continuously sync between two Android devices the way iCloud does.

Three options: (1) on iOS, enable iCloud sync — Apple handles the backup automatically; on Android, Google Auto Backup syncs your data to Google Drive; (2) use the in-app PDF export to generate a printable record of any vehicle; (3) use the in-app JSON backup/restore to save a portable copy that works across iOS and Android.

The GPS speedometer is typically accurate to within 1 mph. If you're using LastDrive to calibrate a factory speedometer that reads inaccurately, use the Speed Calibration tool in the vehicle settings — it lets you record the offset between the factory gauge and GPS truth at multiple reference speeds.

VIN OCR is currently iOS only. On iOS, the OCR works best on flat, clean VIN plates with good lighting and minimal glare. Older cars with stamped or worn VINs may need to be entered manually. On Android (and on iOS if OCR doesn't read your plate), type the VIN directly — the NHTSA decode step works the same either way.

Yes. Each vehicle has a PDF export option that includes the maintenance log, drive history, fuel records, documents, and notes. Useful for sale, insurance claims, or just paper backup.

The HUD-style speedometer is designed for in-dash device mounting. Dedicated CarPlay and Android Auto integrations are not currently included.

Open the vehicle, tap the menu in the upper-right, and choose Delete. This removes all associated drives, maintenance records, photos, and documents. The action cannot be undone.
