Where is my data stored?

On your iPhone. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, your data is also stored in your personal iCloud account so it can sync to your other Apple devices. Nothing is ever sent to LastDrive's servers — there are no LastDrive servers.

Will my data sync between iPhone and iPad?

Yes, when you enable iCloud sync. Both devices need to be signed in to the same iCloud account with iCloud Drive enabled. Initial sync may take a few minutes depending on how many photos you've attached.

How do I back up my data?

Two options: (1) enable iCloud sync — Apple handles the backup automatically; (2) use the in-app PDF export to generate a printable record of any vehicle. Standard iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or encrypted iTunes/Finder backup) also include LastDrive's local database.

The speedometer reading seems off — what do I do?

The GPS speedometer is typically accurate to within 1 mph. If you're using LastDrive to calibrate a factory speedometer that reads inaccurately, use the Speed Calibration tool in the vehicle settings — it lets you record the offset between the factory gauge and GPS truth at multiple reference speeds.

VIN scanning didn't work for my car

VIN OCR works best on flat, clean VIN plates with good lighting and minimal glare. Older cars with stamped or worn VINs may need to be entered manually. You can always type the VIN directly — the decode step works the same either way.

Can I export my records?

Yes. Each vehicle has a PDF export option that includes the maintenance log, drive history, fuel records, documents, and notes. Useful for sale, insurance claims, or just paper backup.

Does LastDrive work with CarPlay?

The HUD-style speedometer is designed for in-dash device mounting. CarPlay-specific support is on the roadmap.

How do I delete a vehicle?

Open the vehicle, tap the menu in the upper-right, and choose Delete. This removes all associated drives, maintenance records, photos, and documents. The action cannot be undone.

I found a bug — how should I report it?

Email support@lastdrive.io with as much detail as possible: what you were doing, what you expected, what happened, and screenshots if you have them. Include your iPhone model and iOS version.

What's on the roadmap?

iCloud sync polish, CarPlay integration, additional VIN decoder data sources, customizable maintenance schedules, and shop / parts catalog integration. Feature suggestions welcome.
